I had dreamt of Bali long before I visited. A year before we took our first trip to the island I remember telling my husband Rob that I just had a feeling that Bali would be a place where I would feel inspired to do something creative and set me on a path to achieving my life dreams of combining passions for travel, design, photography and creativity whilst working with creative people and providing work and opportunities for talented artisans.
And so after a 2 week trip to this magical island, having hopped on a scooter to visit many local furniture makers across Bali, the White Moss décor collection was born, and I started to work with artisans to hand craft genuine products, using beautiful natural materials, in a neutral colour pallet, working in harmony with any home and complementing any colour and style.
I believe our homes should be reflections of the journeys we take. Our personal space deserves designs with a soul, a story, and a purpose. This is why I travel to develop our exclusive collections of home goods, partnering with master artisans, blending our contemporary style with their time-tested techniques.
By personally traveling to Bali and using only local materials, we establish sustainable relationships with our artisans. From there, we sell directly to you online–there is no middleman. This is how we’re able to offer handmade goods, crafted with the highest quality materials, at more reasonable prices than traditional luxury boutiques and still enable us to pay a fair price to those skilled craftsmen who make each product so they can support their families today and in the future.
My latest trip to Bali was particularly special and memorable as it was the first one I have taken back there since I fell pregnant with our little girl Phoenix. I wanted her to travel with me from a young age, to be surrounded by inspiring and talented creatives and to be a part of the business I have created.
